An endeavor for opening a humanitarian center in the name of our great leader Syed Muhammed Ali Shihab Thangal, who was the ambassador of secularism and who controlled and uplifted the pathetic conditions of populance which he so dearly loved is at start in Bangalore. Shihab Thangal Centre for humanity in short Shihab Thangal Centre is a charitable voluntary organisation registered under the society act of 1860.

The main objective of the Shihab Thangal Centre is empower the poor and marginalized in their physical, social and economic aspects and provide medical and other humanitarian services.

It has been named after the great leader, Panakkad Syed Muhammed Ali Shihab Thangal, who was the beacon light and source of inspiration to the masses in Kerala and dedicated his life to the empowerment of the deprived section of the society. We are trying to set up noval model centre for the benefit of patient in the immediate vicinity of NIMHANS where thousand of patients frequent daily and its also withing walking distance from KIDVAYI CANCER HOSPITAL, ST JOHN'S MEDICAL COLLEGE, JAYADEVA HEART INSTITUTE, INDIRA GHDANDI HOSPITAL Etc.

The social workers of STCH witness heart breaking sights, around the clock every day, of the plight of poor penniless destitute patients and the unfortunate ones in the corridors and varandhas of the hospital who run to and fro requesting help, that too without knowing the local language.

We remember the repeated words of Shihab Thangal that the activities of any social organisation will be perfectly accomplished only on discharging the humanitarian duties. This undying remembrance of Thangal and his precious words gage us strength and inspiration.
